AtriCure's manufacturing facilities and principal distribution centers are in countries categorized as low to low-medium risk by the Global Slavery Index. Our products are manufactured in the United States, with the majority distributed through facilities in the United States and the Netherlands. AtriCure products are sold to medical centers globally through our direct sales force and distributors. Our direct supply chain primarily supports manufacturing and distribution operations.
AtriCure is committed to ethical and legal business practices, keeping patients, people, and partners in mind. Through our Code of Conduct and Global Health Care Compliance Manual, we have established standards for ethical business practices and legal compliance. AtriCure requires all employees to behave ethically and adhere to applicable laws related to labor, anti-discrimination, harassment, health, and safety. We do not engage in any form of coerced, bonded, indentured, or forced labor. All work by AtriCure employees is voluntary, and they are free to leave or terminate their employment without fear of abuse. We require employees to treat suppliers, customers, competitors, and their employees fairly, prohibiting any unfair business practices.
AtriCure's Business Partner Conduct Standards
AtriCure's Business Partner Conduct Standards expect our partners to share our commitment to integrity. These standards mandate that partners:
- Comply with all applicable laws relating to wages, working hours, working conditions, child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking;
- Source raw materials or components for AtriCure's products from compliant sources;
- Avoid discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, or any other protected status as directed by law; and
- Maintain a Human Rights Policy protecting workers from unsafe conditions and unfair labor practices, including forced labor and human trafficking.
Due Diligence and Reporting
AtriCure has implemented a due diligence process to screen direct suppliers and primary business partners. Our contracts require suppliers to provide materials ethically and in compliance with human rights laws, including the UK Modern Slavery Act of 2016 and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act.
AtriCure's Global Compliance Program aims to detect and prevent violations of laws, regulations, and company policies. We require employees and partners to report unethical or illegal conduct. Reports can be made to AtriCure's Global Compliance Department at compliance@atricure.com or through SpeakUp.AtriCure.com, a confidential third-party reporting tool. Our global anonymous Speak Up Portal is available to all employees, partners, and the public. AtriCure maintains a strict non-retaliation policy for anyone raising a good faith concern.
